Here, it has been plenty dry after a couple soakers earlier this spring. One guy was talking about the bareback total post corn field field of a neighbor being hurt due to the grass competition sucking out the moisture.
I believe we have had about 0.6" since late April... need to check with Dad the official rain gauge. Fortunately, that was enough to start most of the beans that were laying dry. It was drying fast enough that beans that were a bit shallow under no-till residue dried out before sprouting. Most have filled in with that shot of rain.
