Nope. The Fusilade idea in the rope wick is probably not a good idea. The reason being that you want to use your grass herbicides - Fusilade, Fusion, Select, Assure, Poast, etc. when the johnsongrass is small - like 18" tall. To use the rope wick, the best option is to let the johnsongrass "stretch", and use Roundup/ glyphosate.

BTW, glyphosate is probably more effective on the johnsongrass when it is taller - when it is in heading stage is preferred.
