Subject: Re: Johnson grass in Orchardgrass

Little River, TX
For a change I checked my notes.
Label says select will control seedling johnsongrass. My notes say not real well.

Accent will control both seedling and root johnsongrass. Mentions timothy but not orchardgrass. Label says it will control foxtail. I can assure it is not all that great on yellow foxtail.

There are some people who plant eastern gammagrass, a cousin to corn. Accent does a good job for them on johnsongrass but is poor on most other grasses. Most plant with a corn planter and cultivate the middles for weed control, but that probably is of little interest.
