Centre county Pennsylvania, USA
Mark, most folks hereabouts think Ed is a likable fellow but I think he needs some economics 102 help. There is a good reason why PA has high basis, with average corn yields in the 120s, we need more than high basis to compete with real corn farmers, the folks that harvest 180+ every year.

Maybe Ed is working with Monsanto folks on our corn yield problem, that's only way I know that PA will ever have a spare bushel to grind for ethanol. Anyway, I'm hoping Ed can make good on some of his Ethanol plant hype, we could use another buck-a-bushel, or so.
