East Palestine, Ohio (Columbiana Co.)
Don, your future is only gonna get brighter if your man, Ed Rendell has anything to say about it. He made the front page in 8/23/07 Farm and Dairy expounding on how PA. has to get to the forefront on renewable fuels........not at some later time way out in the future, he wants action now! Could be all sabre rattling BS, I don't know, but sure sounds good, anyway!
I was always envious of you guys price on corn, but now we've finally got a mill here that has to bid plus basis to get corn, and that makes the rest of the mills here do the same. Although no one around here will bid in any new crop at any better than at least .50 under.
Maybe these racetrack guys around here should give up on that idea and put together an ethanol plant deal, something Ed could get behind and back!!
Good Luck!.........The Dumb Farmer
