| One of our neighbor's used to pull his 8 row IH 400 out of the weeds every spring and dad would comment about how much money we spent on a planter when that neighbor's corn always came up. That neighbor is a seed dealer and puts out a corn plot across the fence from us every other year and his yields are almost never close to our's but there are alot of other differences than just the planter. If plant spacing makes even a 2% yield difference on 150 bpa corn that's 3 bpa or roughly $7.50 and on say a 1,000 acres that's enough more profit for me to spend a little time making sure our planter is doing the best job possible. | |
