Sunnyvale, CA | To enable Advanced mode, power on the EZ-Guide 500 and then the home screen is showing (field with green background) use the down arrow button (bottom button on the right side) to highlight the "wrench" icon. then press OK (the top button on the right side). the first menu item highlighted in blue is "User mode." Press OK to change the User Mode. the choices will be "Easy" and "Advanced" Using the Down arrow highlight "Advanced" then press OK. When you highlight the wrench and press OK a second time, you will see new "Advanced" menu choices.
