I suppose the radiator on a 65 is the same as a 75...very, very fine fins in a zig-zag pattern? If so, take the grille off the front and the fan shields off the back of the radiator, get a long blow gun with a small tip and high pressure, and go to work. I use a gun with a brake line threaded into it. The fins on our 75 are so fine, you can just slip a piece of paper in between...so fine dust will plug it over time. Just use lots of high pressure air, blow back and forth from both front and backside...you'll be amazed at how much dust will come out. Bought this 75 from some neighbors...they said be sure and keep the radiator clean. Now I know why.
Also, might not hurt to change fuel filters...we had a yellow warning light coming on early this spring, but no indication on the monitor as to why...turned out to be a dirty fuel filter...notice a slight drop in op temp after changing filter, even tho we moved up a gear.
