Marv, my Toro mower also has a 25 Hp Kohler that runs very hot. I have to blow out the cooling fins after every use. It has enough power to cut grass at half the rated engine speed but it doesn’t have enough cooling capacity at slow engine speed. I have to keep mine wound up tight on warm days which causes more noise than I like. Good luck!
