Chebanse, IL.....

I've never seen anything official on how many wagons in trail...only urban legends. We pull 2 @ a time w/tractor, only 1 w/pickup. These are the "large" wagon types. There may be a limit on how many licensed trailers can be towed...but wagons aren't licensed

However, there IS a weight limit on wagons in IL. A wagon cannot exceed 18,000# per axle. That would be 36,000# for 2 axle wagon....but they never weigh them by the axle-I doubt there would be much axle difference, they're so short. Also, a grain cart IS a wagon...having only 1 axle. You can figure out the consequences there if you're on the road w/a load, or partial load in a cart. An empty Brent 640 type wagon weighs about 6200# empty. A Brent 640 type wagon will easily hold 630-640 bu corn, depending on t.w.......so they tell me.
