Chris, I think you're running too low a pressure in your tires, if you are running anywhere near max. GVW. If you can weigh each axle, you can find a chart at your tire shop to tel you the recommended psi. My service truck is loaded to and beyond maximum GVW on the plate (9900). I run 75 psi front/80 psi in the rear, and have yet to lose a Steeltex tire. I get 40,000 to 45,000 miles before wear out on 265/70R16, LR E. Just my 2 cents worth. Oliver Durand
