Subject: Garmin 18 PC seems OK

Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn.
Yesterday I tested my Garmin 18 PC in my truck with an Insight. Since it hadn't been used for a while, it did take a while to rebuild the Almanac to get GPS.

Shortly thereafter WAAS Differential was obtained. Later I took the truck to town to do some shopping. This was in a major rainstorm. GPS was obtained very quickly but it took a while to get the WAAS indication.

Later when I came home the weather had improved and the unit obtained DGPS in a more normal timeframe.

My conclusion is that the Garmin 18 PC is fine with the WAAS changes. I did not make any changes from last year. I would think that the Garmin 18 LVCs should work properly also without any changes. I would recommend having the users actually try them before harvest.
