I tried putting down dry fert with my Brillion pulliing a Flexicoil cart behind the ripper. Won't do that again, that takes a LOT of HP to run the fan and pull that weight thru soft soil. If I have a field that I feel needs to be ripped I will put down fert with the striptil rig and follow with the ripper by itself. Probably uses the same amount of fuel and much less strain on me and tractor.
