Well, without seeing your conversion, I will guess! The piece of rad tube I used to connect the pvc is pretty short, like about one or two open flutes with a clamp above and below. I used a die grinder to make a groove on the pvc to clamp the radiator tube to as well. The pvc I used is heavy walled (can't remember the size, but I got it at Menards and took a piece of the cyclo tube with me to fit it) and will not bend, the cyclo tube will, and it fits tight enough beans cannot possibly get in between them. Take your die grinder and smooth the opening of the pvc where beans drop into it, and also the opening of the cyclo tube where the beans drop there. Tighten the clamp real good on the cyclo tube in the diffuser and you should be ok. I hope you got the lengths right so when the units flex limit up the tubes don't get smashed. Took me a while to get that one, but I have not lost one of these in the field yet in four years so it must be pretty close.
