Subject: IH5500 type soybean drill tubes

I finished my conversion of a GP 24' folding drill into an IH5500 SS 15" planter with ih800 units. I appreciate all the advise and pictures. I'm still having problems with the seed tubes. I did not use the radiator tube and used pvc to slide over IH seed tube with the pvc connected to the drill cup via a short piece of radiator hose (the gp stuff). It seems the seed tubes and pvc don't always want to slide nice and when I tried a little grease I ended up with a dirty mess. I'd appreciate any further insight into making the pvc/seed tube work. Also, my units are not directly under the cup that feeds them so some I used seed tube that was curved to get transition a smoother - if the pvc has to slide into the curved part it tends to bind.

Thanks,

Pat
