For windrowers other than John Deere, we have been using the Universal Wiring Harness kit from JD. For MacDon units, you will to get 9" long bolts to accomodate the receiver bar but over all it works very well and is very stable. I have seen brackets that attempt to get the receiver out over the knife which is good in theory but sometimes create another problem of reciever bounce if the shaft is not stiff enough. The pictures I attached are from a unit we installed earlier this summer.
