Woodbury county
Getting very dry here in northwest Iowa.....had .3 inch a few days ago, but with the wind blowing every day and temperatures in the 90s, .3 of an inch is gone quickly. Must be 3 weeks or longer since we had any meaningful precipitation. Any tillage done to prepare for seed for planting has really dried out the top few inches of soil. Have an Army buddy in Texas trying to raise a corn crop.....said the only corn he is liable to get is the irrigated acres. The rest is beginning to tassel without any moisture in the ground. With Missouri and Kansas getting very dry, been wondering if the dry areas of the southwest are beginning to creep into the western corn belt?
