I was at a meeting two years ago where Ray Archuleta was one of the featured speakers and one of the speakers talked about putting all the manure back on the same ground as the silage for those same cows came from would still have you in a deficient for nutrients. That really stuck with me. Taking all that plant matter off the soil is hard on it.
