Subject: RE: COOL Question

Masonville, Iowa
I still doubt if it gets passed. The meat industry has a powerful lobby. When it was first intoduced, I believe you needed to keep calving/farrowing records if you produced your own. If you buy feeders, I was under the assumption (I know that will get me in trouble), you would get a piece of paper stating the origin of the animals and subsequent owners. I remember needing to keep these records for three years after the animals were sold. As usual, somehow the poultry side is left out of the legislation.
