How I clean a sprayer tank

I've been using an 800 or 1000 gallon SP sprayer with 90ft booms

1) Fill sprayer with 250 gallons of water, and rinse tank full as well

2) Agitate for 5 minutes, and spray the main tank. Once pressure is lost, open up main fill valve to let the rest go

3) Fill sprayer with rinse tank water, but also keep some to clean the inductor. Put in some spray cleaner ( Finish, 28% etc )

4) Backflow the inductor a time or two - got to let the water flow out of the top.

5) Agitate and spray out. Once pressure is lost, open up main fill valve again.

6) Get another 250 gallons again and fill up the rinse tank

7) Spray out the main tank again. If your sprayer did not get emptied when you did your last field job, use the rinse water tank. Otherwise, your set.

It'll take me 30 minutes to do this. But chemical screwups aren't cheap either. The key is to remove ALL sources of contamination - IE inductors, main valves, etc
