We were at 180,000 when we had a 15" drill and now with our 15" planter I am running 160,000 except on our really light ground I will bump it up to 170,000 or so. If it's really early, late or bad planting conditions I will also bump it up a little bit. This year I did a plot with 160,000, 130,000 and 100,000 populations to see what happens.
