Subject: 1460 Delco Alternator Question

Saskatchewan
My alternator let go on one of my 1460's today.

It is a Delco alternator that has a 3 spade plug along with the power lead stud.

When I unplugged the alternator, it looked like a previous owner had bent the 'R' spade into the casing so that it wouldn't be connected when the 3 place connector was plugged in. However, I might have been the one that bent it when I took the connection apart.

I would like to get an alternator tomorrow (Sunday) so my only options are big box auto parts stores.

Can I get away with a regular Delco SI 10 with the two spade terminals, or do I need the 'R' terminal equipped alternator?

Thanks!
