Subject: Try this

Gilroy 35 Miles Over the Hill From Santa Cruz

Dad is/was an Electrician - and says try this
There must be moister down there somewhere

Dig a post hole using a Tractor Auger Digger down past the hard pan
Now drive 10' of 3/4" gal pipe in leaving 4" out of ground (protect the Threads by putting a coupling on the drive end)
Then test for ground - if good ground - Ok
If no good ground add 5' more of pipe = 10'+5'+5'+++

Ground rods should be at least 10' apart

Just an idea!

There is also a "UFER Ground" = #8 or larger BARE Copper wire in a deep ditch 20' or better long _ Use connectors for dis-simmler metals
