Well, I can see both sides of it. Yes I paid for the WAAS unlock code. Also paid for an unlock code for the fast refresh rate for guidance. But those receivers have not been supported for about 3 years now I think. They do not have enough memory for the latest firmware versions. The last version they would take was either 1.58 or 1.70. So I have known the day was coming. I checked into having the board updated, but the cost was too much compared to the price of a new receiver. Yes, I would like to continue using the receiver. The question is can Trimble justify the cost of updating an old firmware version. That is only a question they can answer. What is customer loyalty worth to them?
