Subject: 9670guy, from my understanding, if your corn was planted

Panhandle of Ne.
close to another field that was corn last year, either your neighbors or yours, the goss's spores can become airborne and infect fields down wind.

I am beginning to think that this crap is going to be one of the worst things that has happened to corn maybe ever. At least with the rust in beans, they can be sprayed. There is nothing available that I know of yet to stop goss's. We are seeing goss's in here where we have never seen it before. Even though we haven't had it yet until this year, we plant varieties that are the most resistent on COC, but in the day length we have to plant, there are not many available.
