Leesburg, Ohio | If you are not in a densely populated area, and don't have a busy hiway next to you, hi-tensile will work great. We have alot of traffic, so I put posts closer than most...20-30'...and use six or seven wires. We seldom charge it up, but we build it so we could. Still alot cheaper than barb or woven. We have the occasional "teenage" calf escape when it's not hot and if the wires loosen up, but have fixed that on the more recently built fence by substituting one barb for a smooth wire at about knee high. If the fence is interior, we have some three and four-wire that works good...sometimes we hook up a charger to one or two wires, sometimes not.
