I had the same troubel with Valor as you did but I was putting in the Valor first. When I got done with my first tank load, there was a couple of feet of foam in the tank. My surfactant just added to the foam. I changed surfactants and that one would hold the foam down to where I could fill my tank and spray it out with minimal troubles. Some surfactants have the ability to lessen foam but they usually don't claim that on the label. The surfactant that worked was AD Spray 90. I tried a little diesel fuel on the foam but that didn't seem to help a lot but that is what a coop man told me years ago to use for foam. Just spray it on top to knock the foam back.
I think the label will say to add the surfactant last which will still knock the foam down.

BTW, That Valor was sure hot on the weeds for burning down. I don't know what the final results will be but it looks good after 4 days.
