| Batteries in my Case Super L backhoe have slowly been on the decline and finally decided to take a Dump..............They were C/IH batteries put in '07 not to long before it was traded to a Deere Dealer for a new Deere and I bought it. Anyhow, place I deal with sells Willard's but the commerical batteries they sell are Labled Exide's. They claimed Exide makes both Deere and C/IH batteries.............I knew they were the C/IH supplier but I could have sworn Deere's were made by someone else???? Anyone know? Strange part here is the Strong Boxes have been pretty impressive here, but I have yet to have a battery with Exide on the side hold up. If the above statement is true that doesn't make alot of sense. We'll see how these pair will hold up...............I was on a Deka kick for awhile but when the last few didn't meet my expectations I moved to my current supplier. |

Northeast Louisiana | Our local Tractor Supply Company or TSC has same batteries as John Deere, but don't have John Deere name on them. Exide I think, not positive.

| Yes it has been like this for sometime now. |

East Central IL | Just because they're made by the same company, doesn't necessarily mean they're the same battery; different brands have different specs. |

Westphalia Texas [central texas] | I understand the art of making battery's are that they go bad right at expiring date. |

| My experience with Deere batteries is horrible. That's when I found out about the warranty. 6 months to 1 year max. Depends on the battery. I got a new strong box for my 6420. It lasted 5 months and cost $225. I got an $18 credit. Rod |

Northern CA | I know they are on the costly side, but I have finally bit the bullet and started buying Interstate where I want longevity. Everywhere else I run ones from Wal-Mart and I never have to buy another set because they never live through their free replacement warranty. |

SK.. in Frozen Cold Western Canada | BTW: You can Search by using Control-F or by using '\' on a MAC.. Makes the sorting a LOT easier..

Or they would have you believe that. |

|
| that doesn't sound right. I'm pretty sure Deere has a 2 year pro-rated warranty on ag equipment batteries. |
