Subject: Recomendations for guidance

Pocahontas County, IA

Tried some strip-till fertilizer application last fall. Not GPS applied but JPS( neighbor Joe steered his applicator). The theory was I would be able to see his marks and follow them in the spring. Well that didn't work too well. The price was reasonable, time will tell on the results. I would like my own strip-till rig this fall and would really like a GPS application that could be repeated when I plant corn into these strips. Now the question is what would you recommend for a guidance system? We are running Raven sprayer moniters and Farmworks software on a handheld computer. Is there a system that will work with these components?

Thanks!
