SE Nebraska, Near Misery and Cans Ass!
If you wouldn't use a yeild monitor to select a variety, unless " the yield is blatantly different" how can it be helpful to analyze other problems? On level ground with a good operator they can challenge the accuracy of scales. I spent a couple of falls chasing yeild monitors and yeild data arround and my job was to measure field loss at predetermined points and that was an eye opener, and a lot of the loss is beyond your control but the gross amount was always amazing.
