I'm not afraid of work, but a few years ago, I looked at building finishing units. It took a 12 year amortization and the manure value to make it cash flow. That was also assuming all labor was unpaid. I wasn't going to borrow $500K-$1million on a deal that barely cash flowed with optimistic projections based on a contract worth the paper it was written on. The risk was too large. I'm still interested in livestock. Just need to find a different enterprise. Been looking at cattle feeding instead.
