Based on my limited knowledge you were on sf2. I think the only difference is the software that it uses, thats how they can use the demo's.

We did similar comparisons on our row crop planter this spring. Settled on using sf2, sf1 just let it wander too much. I would say this, either spend some time with stellar support or preferably with someone from your dealer who knows how to set them up. Our dealer has one guy that specializes in it for several of their stores, he went in and changed some settings to increase the speed that it samples the data if I, maybe not the right term, but it did help it to become more responsive (not just changing the steering response).

We're really happy with the units so far. The sprayer operators love the swath control and the auto steer on sf2 is just as accurate or more so than I could steer by hand. Sure takes a lot of the work out. Haven't used the marker on the planter since we went to sf2 except to show some people how accurate it is.
