Subject: chopping alfalfa

East central SD
We are going to give this a try on our first cutting, going down when weather straightens out. Any secrets you want to share? Was planning on waiting 1 day after haybining and start chopping with neighbors self propelled so we can get it done in a timely manner. Will use biomax-A as an innoculant and cover when packed. Any suggestions? How much of this feed can be added in diet of feeder cattle? All opinions appreciated. Some say they love it and the next guy says be very careful of bloat.
