WC ILL or on a HD on a road to 'somewhere'... | South of I-74 things taper off quite a bit. Wet, mudded in planting followed by dry weather. You don't have to go very far south of the I-road to find it. We're just a little bit better off than E, E/C Iowa. I'll agree, though, right along '74 is about as good as it gets. About as good a corn as I've seen anywhere is in the Monmouth IL area (S of the Quad Cities) = outstanding stuff on some really good dirt. Going to be another of those 'spotty' years.... |
