Maybe I've been looking at a different USDA report than you, but I see planted acres as being nearly complete nationwide, and ahead of the five year average (as if that avg means something these days) and crop conditions starting out better than they have in nearly 20 years, and in addition to all of that nearly all of the midwest just recieved an extremely timely rain to help boost the crops.
