I dont' think you would be upset with either one. THe 500 I have found I can spray good with no foam or lights on second passes aloing draws or 2 pass headlands just by zooming in on the display and following the overlap on the coverage map. One thing is the 500 is big and heavy and needs a GOOD mount. THe + will do just fine with the suction cup on a window or dash.
