Sunnyvale, CA
the previous demos you've seen or your neighbors have used of EZ-Steer may have been done with the EZ-Guide Plus and an EZ-Steer without T2 with a 5 Hz update rate. If that's the case, then you might wish to see how the new version of EZ-Steer for the EZ-Guide 500 performs, because it is completely re-done from the controls point of view in the EZ-Guide 500 and has new controller firmware in the EZ-Steer controller (version 4.0.1). The EZ-Guide 500 control equations requires the use of the T2 gyros and takes advantage of the improved 50 Hz update rate. we have users with RTK upgrades on their EZ-Guide 500 with the EZ-Steer, and they cannot tell the difference between the electric motor or hydraulic. If your neighbors were using WAAS DGPS correction or the older equipment model (EZ-Guide Plus) or didn't have the EZ-Steer calibration correct, then it is possible the accuracy you have seen is not what is being realized with the newly updated EZ-Guide 500 and EZ-Steer with RTK correcitons.
