Princeton,IN | I have some hedgeapple (osage orange) in the pasture that needs to be pushed out. I've always been taught to cut posts in the winter when the sap is down, as this was supposed to make the longest lasting posts. My question is: Is this correct? If I cut posts in the summer, am I setting myself up for a short lasting post? I have a lot more daylight and better weather in the summer, but it just doesn't seem like the thing to do. | |
