Leesburg, Ohio
Have planted two years now with EZguide+ and EZsteer on a 4450 and 12 row. Fairly satisfied for one-trip guidance. Takes alot of nudging...some days it will be right on the mark for a couple hours, other days, I have to nudge it a foot or two in a single pass, very occasionally it will just "take off" and drift all over the place for a few minutes, then settles down, and everything's fine again. I have concluded that WAAS will absolutely not work for us in a two-pass situation. (Strip-til, then plant, or plant, then side-dress.) We have a demo Baseline RTK that we are trying out on the strip-til tractor...eliminates the drift. But I cannot use the EZsteer on WAAS to plant on those strips...flat out won't work. For just planting only, tho, it works OK if you're not really anal about the guess rows. Sure is alot less stressful day to "let George do it".
