Northern Iowa | Looking to change rear wheel size on my John Deere 4430, will wheels and hubs from a 4440 fit my rear axle? |
N East Sask, Canada | Sorry, 4440 heavier axles, I think. |

SE MN Still in Pothole Country | It depends. Most 4430's were 3 3/8" but a few later ones were 3 5/8". Most 4440's were the bigger axle but we have two and one is the smaller axle and one is the bigger. But the tapered sleeves can be swapped and the wheel casting left the same. |

Brazilton KS | Either model could be 86mm or 92mm. Most 4430s are 86, I'd guess about 50/50 on 4440s. You can change wedges to put big hubs on 86mm, but small castings will not fit 92mm. |
