maybe i am missing something, but why would someone spend the money to develop and test a new technology (such as you hint at) then provide it for free? unless i am misunderstanding and it is the gov, in that case we are all paying for it already through our taxes. Set me straight- is this a comapny that defies the laws of capitalism or a company developing tech to sell to the govt?
We are all very addicted to accuracy and repeatability and most of us are willing to pay more to get more. if tehre is a "sky" based signal, whether free or fee based, you can bet we will line up to use it if it is better than what we have now.
