Subject: What might a Cat 3406 on a skid weigh?

Columbia Basin, Ephrata, WA
We pulled the engine out of our Versa Bagger today, it needs a rebuild. It comes out on a skid, complete from radiator to clutch housing with short driveshaft. Does anyone know what the assembly would weigh? Can we lift it all with the two loops bolted to the front and back of the engine? They look like they're just bolted to the heads.
We got it out without lifting it (it's only ~9" off the ground in the machine) but obviously it will need to be picked up to take it to a shop for the rebuild.

I'm also not sure what shop to take it to, either a local truck shop or maybe it needs to go to an actual Caterpillar shop. Where does CATGUY work? He really seems to know his stuff, and if I remember right, he's in Washington most of the year.
