Subject: i don't like the steering column switch

Scott City, KS

I've used the steering column switch, but don't like it.  I run the edrive on "automatic" so it will automatically engage when lined up on the AB line.  The steering switch disengages the edrive whenever you turn the wheel slightly.  The problem with the steering switch is that when you are trying to line up to get the autoengage to engage you are also telling the edrive to disengage by turning the wheel.  You'll find yourself fighting the autoengage feature of edrive when using the steering column switch.

Alternatively, if you use a foot switch, you can just tap on it to disengage the autosteer when coming up to the end of the field.  You basically just steer around the corner and the edrive takes over when you are close to the AB line.

Ironically, I've started having trouble with my foot switch also.  I'm having to stomp on the darn thing to get it to disengage.  I thought I just had a short in the switch.  It worked great last year.
