Subject: Definition of SF2 ready?

Remsen, IA

Last winter I bough a GS2 system with a SF2 Ready Starfire reciever. I was under the impression that SF2 Ready meant that I just had to buy a SF2 subscription and I would be able to run with it. Now they tell me that I have to buy a activation of the SF2 before I can then buy a subsciption and use it. So was I misled when I bought it or am I being misled now?
