Subject: WAAS PRN 135-Back to Test Mode?

Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn.
We received an email yesterday indicating that WAAS 135 is being put back into "Test Mode". The note indicates that we may need to once again try using WAAS 122.

As I understand the situation, WAAS 122 (AOR-E) used to live over the Atlantic Ocean and was utilized by many of us here in the Midwest. WAAS 122 was "moved" in the Winter before last to a spot over the Pacific. This caused me and others to have problems last Spring.

WAAS 135 was put up and operated in a Test Mode but was usable for us later last year. I thought that it was put into a servicable mode so that we could count on 135 being available for us this season.

This Email seems to suggest that at times we may need to go back to using 122. I forsee some of the same problems as last Spring.

Last evening I did some road testing with my EZ-Guide 500 and it seemed to indicate that 135 was alive and well. I'm afraid we need to be on the lookout for some problems.
