That's a real good question that i have wondered myself. My cows are on milo stalks and they are real good at cleaning up any grain that is on the ground. However, if you look at their poop it is full of grain- it appears to me that most of it is going right through them. I would assume the same holds true for corn or any other solid grain. In my opinion grain that is ground has to be way more digestible, after all they only feed ground grain in the feedlots. Cattle will definitely eat the unground corn but i can't say how well they digest it.
