west TN | I just got my 16/31 and didn't have hardly any problems, but also didn't use any poncho. A few times i would have a mini-hopper go empty, not getting seed. Two of those times I found pieces of paper in the manifold from the hands being sloppy helping load it. Easy fix for that, Just went back to tote'n the sacks myself.
The other couple of times I never found the reason, but got it worked out. Never had a problem with the Y's although I expected too. The stopper has to be all the way in to keep the seed from pooling.
Just like my old 955, you need to keep a surveying flag tied on the planter to use if you have a manifold or seed tube problem. Wire is just the right size and stifness for most problems. | |
