Subject: RE: Scales for skid steers?

Alberta, Canada
I haven't really used one either, only on wheel-loaders when loading trucks in a gravel pit. Seemed to work good so I wanted to get one for the loader on the tractor, just haven't gotten around to finding a good one. From what I understand they just tie into your hydraulic hoses before your coupler?

We always weigh the first load on the truck scale when we bring it home, usually 1 or 2 on the small scale after that. Right now we just have a stationary scale in the shop that I drop a bale on. Generally just 2 per supplier, per bale type (ie, if we buy first and second cut from one supplier, we weigh four bales, two of each). Then stack them accordingly so we've got an idea of the tonnage we're feeding daily.
