| I haven't bought from these guys but I've seen their ads regularly and they seem to have nice equipment. In SE Pa there are a lot of Mennonite equipment jockeys. The Mennonite religion varies from almost Amish with no cars to can't tell them from other people. They generally bring in good used equipment from the mid west, I don't know if it comes from auctions or dealer trades, and resell it here. Smaller, slightly older, but good quality equipment has a good market here. Generally the local equipment jockeys work on lower margins than dealers so equipment is priced lower. They will deal a little but not much. Usually the advertised price is nearly what you will pay and if you don't buy it the next guy will. Their equipment inventory turns over fairly quickly. I think they will tell you what they know about a piece but that knowledge could be limited as most is not local They don't usually knowingly bring in junk. I've enjoyed my business dealings with the Amish and Mennonites of SE PA. They are generally hard working, honest and fair, but they are also smart business men so they won't try to get over on you and you won't get over on them. | |
