Alberta, Canada | I'm sure almost all of you have seen that picture(s?) of the tracked New Holland Genesis, and I'm just wondering if any of you know anything about it. From what I've seen in the past, a lot of guys figure it's a prototype for New Holland, which lead to talk of a tracked TG series. But is it actually New Holland experimenting with tracks, or is this just one of Cat's final prototypes? Personally I think it's the latter, however what about the larger ones, the tracked NH 9882?
What's more interesting, is that now Buhler has also experimented with the NH tracks on their 2525 model, this leads me to wonder... Since Buhler has taken over the NH Genesis & 9000 series 4wds, do you think they'd be any farther ahead by taking over the Cat Genesis-Based Challengers, offering both tracked and wheeled Buhler Genesis tractors? Would there be any market for them?
Just some ridiculous thoughts that came up under days of intense boredom.
